Zetta Fay Stanley (nee Warrix) age 79
Went home to be with the Lord on October 5, 2026 Born January 8, 1947 in Pikesville, Kentucky
Beloved wife of the late Kenneth R. Stanley. Loving Mom to Lois, Mark, Dena, Patty, Crystal, Michael, Kenneth and Timothy. Dearest Grandma to Amanda, Mark Bo, Shane, Chastity, Tony, Georga, Terry, Mikey, Courtney, Pepsi, Zairon, Tj, Tiffany, Katlyn, Anthony, Cameron, Scarlett, Marcus, Keela and JC. Nana to many great grandchildren. Daughter of the late James and Mae Fern Warrix. Sister of the late Billy Joel Warrix and the late Betty Flo Cisco.
For many years, Fay worked as a waitress on weekends. She provided childcare for much of her life, helping raise not only her own children but so many children around her.
Fay raised her children in Cleveland, where her home was always an open door. There was always room for one more, and she never seemed to mind having a house full of children. She helped raise half the neighborhood, touching countless lives with her love, kindness, and willingness to lend a helping hand.
Fay had a fun and unforgettable personality. She loved to dance, especially the Hillbilly Stomp, and she loved listening to Elvis Presley and good old country music.
At the end of the day, Fay had her own special way of finding peace. She would sing “Amazing Grace” as she drifted off to sleep—a beautiful reminder of the faith and spirit she carried with her.
And then there was her cooking. Nobody could forget Fay’s famous biscuits and gravy, fried chicken, pineapple upside down cake or banana pudding. Those meals were made with love, and just like her home, there always seemed to be enough to share.
Some knew her as Fay, but many affectionately knew her as “Crazy Fay" because she had to be a little crazy to walk down the street with so many kids.
Fay was one of a kind—and she will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
