Willis "Wick" Gene Colegrove, Sr.

Willis “Wick” Gene Colegrove, Sr., age 78, passed away on November 24, 2025. He was born on October 22, 1947, in Cuzzie, West Virginia, to his loving parents, the late Emmanuel and Blanchie Colegrove. He was the beloved husband of Judy Colegrove and the devoted father of Willis “Willie” Gene Colegrove, Jr., Barbara Lynn Colegrove, and Steven (Amanda) Colegrove. Wick was the cherished grandfather of Kaela Colegrove, Bayeta Harper, Jr., Jeremiah Harper, Sarah Harper, KiShawn Brown, and Elena Colegrove, and the proud great-grandfather of Weston Watson and Winnie Watson.

He was a dear brother of Regina (Paul) Adkins, Garrell (Kay) Colegrove, Alita (Junior) Berry, Marie (Danny) Lambert, Duke (Thelma) Colegrove, Lynn (Jimmie) Brumfield, and the late Colleen (Junior) Toppings, Denver (Shirley) Colegrove, Odell (Mary) Colegrove, Olan Colegrove, and Geraldine Colegrove. He was also a treasured uncle and great-uncle to a host of nieces and nephews.

Wick loved his Lord and his church family, and found joy in fishing, spoiling his children and grandchildren, and embracing life with a full heart. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the blessing of knowing him. To his children, he was truly the best dad in the world.

Family and friends are welcome on Friday, November 28, 2025, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., at Slone & Co. Life Celebration Center 3556 W. 130th St. Cleveland, OH 44111, where closing prayers and reflections will be held at 8 p.m.
