Tyler J. Zeleny

July 29, 1990 — June 6, 2022

Tyler J. Zeleny, age 31, sadly passed away on June 6, 2022. Beloved husband of Meriah Zeleny (nee Roche). Devoted father to his furbabies Noble    Jo, Maple Jupiter, and Daydee Haha. Loving son of Robert and Pamela Zeleny. Dear Brother of Victor (Lindsey) Zeleny. Tyler was a generous partner, a selfless pet parent, a caring son, a loving grandson, an honest friend, and a dedicated teacher. He did a lot in his short time on Earth. He applied to be an art teacher to bide time while deciding the direction he wanted to take in life. But to his surprise, he ended up falling in love with teaching. As a lifelong student himself, he encouraged his students to embrace their curiosity, make bold choices, and when given the choice, always lean into the weird. His students, and the work he helped them create, kept him constantly smiling. He was so incredibly proud of his students, past, and present. When it came to their accomplishments, he was quick to give praise but slow to take credit. He had firm beliefs and unwavering convictions. He was an absolute wordsmith, always intentional with his words and how he presented himself. He made an impact on everyone he met. He may have thought he was leaving a few small ripples in his wake, but really, he left behind swelling tides. As these tides flow in and out, and we learn to move through this world without him, we must make sure that we do what Tyler would've done: do better, every single day. Private family services are being cared for and directed by Slone & Co. Funeral Directors.

In Lieu of Flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to Planned Parenthood.
