Thomas F. (Puff) Kelly

Thomas F. Kelly, known to those who loved him simply as Puff, passed away on July 26, 2025, at the age of 70 in Cleveland Ohio, where he was born on May 15, 1955. His devotion to his family and his unyielding spirit will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.

Tom was proud to serve his country in the United States Navy, where he was honorably discharged. As a boiler technician, he held the rank of Boatswain’s Mate (BM)-Apprentice, demonstrating a commitment to duty and service. This foundational experience shaped many aspects of his life and instilled in him values of dedication and integrity.

In addition to his military service, Tom was a man of simple pleasures. He found joy in camping, fishing, taking walks, riding his motorcycle when he could, working with his hands, and spending time with his family and friends. His good nature and kindness were apparent to everyone around him; he was always happy to do anything for anybody, with a smile on his face, embodying the essence of kindness in his daily interactions.

Tom is mourned by his loving wife, Sandy Kelly, who was not only his partner but also his closest confidante. Also mourning, his dear nephew Scott Degeberg, who will always cherish their time together. To say, the world lost a beautiful soul is an understatement of who Puff was, he was the best husband, beloved brother, cherished uncle, best of friend, and teacher to many in his life. His wonderful smile and good heart will be missed and remembered fondly by those who loved him.

As we remember Thomas F. (Puff) Kelly, we celebrate a life well-lived, marked by love, friendship, and unwavering service. His spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him, reminding us to always extend a hand and a big smile to others, and to cherish each moment shared with family and friends.
