Theresa Gerhart

Theresa Gerhart, age 64, passed away on Friday, December 6, 2024, in Cleveland, Ohio. Born on May 4, 1960 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Herbert and Doris (Mrazek) Carl.

For thirty beautiful years, Theresa shared her life with her husband, Dennis Gerhart. Together, they built a family filled with love and laughter, raising their four children: Brittany, Krystal, Christopher, and Alexander, who carry forward her spirit of kindness and compassion. Theresa was also the proud grandmother to Leilani Kman, whose life she lit up with endless joy and affection. Theresa was not only dedicated to her family but also to her siblings. She cherished the bonds with her brothers, Herbert (Anne) Carl, Vincent Carl, Teddy Pierce, Michael Carl, and Robert Carl, and her sisters, Marie (Mark) Perry, and Mary Carl. Their memories together form a tapestry of love, laughter, and shared experiences that will remain forever etched in their hearts.

A devoted fan of Cleveland sports, Theresa particularly adored the Cleveland Browns. Her enthusiasm for the team was matched only by her love for the great outdoors, where she delighted in camping trips with her family, basking in the beauty of nature and creating lasting memories under the stars. For over three decades, Theresa served her community through her work with the City of Cleveland. Her commitment and dedication were evident in every aspect of her life, including her role as a Girl Scout leader for more than 30 years, where she inspired countless young girls to embrace leadership, friendship, and the great outdoors.

To all who knew her, Theresa was synonymous with unconditional love. Whether as a devoted mother, an encouraging mentor, or a steadfast friend, she had a profound impact on so many lives, offering comfort and support with open arms. Her light shone brightly, leaving a legacy of love and compassion that will continue to thrive in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

Family and friends are welcome on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Slone and Co. Life Celebration Center  3556 West 130th St. Cleveland, Ohio 44111. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at 11 a.m., at Holy Cross Cemetery 14609 Brookpark Rd. Brook Park, OH 44142 (please meet at gates by 10:45 a.m.).
