Theresa A. Daye, age 63, passed away on January 3, 2024. Born on March 23, 1960, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to the late Theodore and Mary (Pringle) Pettus.

Theresa's love for her family was immeasurable. She was the beloved wife of the late David Daye for (33 years) and the devoted mother of Lonny Pettus, Marcus Daye (Barbara), and Charneil Daye. Her role as a grandmother brought immense joy to her life, as she was cherished by Lunyai, Jullian, Giovanni, Deshawn, Isaac, Ronel, Jonnel, and Aeral.

In addition to her family, Theresa valued her relationships with friends and extended family. Her sister, Valerie Estes, and the late half-brother, Joseph Edwards were not just family but also lifelong companions. Theresa's niece and nephews, including Shaila, James, and Jurel; and grandniece, Nea’lah held a special place in her heart. She also leaves behind a host of cousins.

Theresa was a member of Unity Fellowship Baptist Church, Port Orange, FL for many years. She loved her church family. She had a passion for life that was evident in her various interests. She enjoyed going to church and praising the Lord, having family time, especially gatherings where laughter and warmth filled the air. Theresa found joy in traveling with her late husband, reading, playing games, knitting, and watching TV, with a particular fondness for Discovery and the ID Channel. Her love for dancing and movies added vibrancy to her life.

She entered school as a student at Hayes Elementary, Porter Middle school and she went on to Hughes high school in Cincinnati, Ohio.

One of Theresa's proudest achievements was working towards her GED. Her determination and commitment to education showcased her resilient spirit and served as an inspiration to those around her.

Theresa was easy-going, finding joy in meeting new people and cultivating friendships. Her warm and welcoming nature made her a cherished presence in any gathering. Theresa's enthusiasm for life left a lasting impression on those fortunate enough to know her.
