Born on April 17, 1972, to her parents Edward and Judy Shepherd, she was a beloved wife to Bobby E. Hopkins Jr. and a devoted mother to Bobby E. Hopkins III. She also embraced her role as a stepmother to Sydney Hopkins and was a supportive sister to Becky Huttinger.

Teri's zest for life was infectious, and she embraced every moment with passion and enthusiasm. Her adventurous spirit led her to explore new horizons, and she thoroughly enjoyed traveling, especially relaxing on sandy beaches and snorkeling in the turquoise waters. With a heart captivated by the rhythm of reggae music, she found joy in its soulful melodies and danced to its beats whenever she could.
