Cleveland

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Steve Fletcher, after a difficult battle with cancer. He was a beloved son, brother, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend.

He was born on October 25, 1959, in Cleveland, Ohio to his loving parents Anna May (Watts) Fletcher and Charles James Fletcher Sr. Steve's journey on this earth came to an end on September 2, 2023, in Westlake, Ohio.

Steve Fletcher was a man who approached life with a good outlook. His spirit left a lasting impression on the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. He was always ready with a helping hand for those in need.

One of Steve's proudest accomplishments in life was being an uncle. He took great joy in spending time with his nieces and nephews and embraced the role of an uncle with love and dedication. His caring nature made him a beloved figure in their lives, bringing laughter and joy to every occasion.

Steve had a special bond with his family. He was a good brother to Mary, Cheryl, Annie and Marty supporting them through thick and thin. Their shared memories will forever be cherished by those he leaves behind.

He is now reunited with his son, Joseph Fletcher and brothers, Jimmy and Daryl.

In addition to his siblings, Steve leaves behind a legacy through his sons Anthony Meckling, Steven Fletcher and Steve Hobbs.

Apart from his immediate family and close friends, Steve had an extraordinary connection with a vast extended family consisting of 60 nieces and nephews. Their bond transcended bloodlines as Uncle Steve's presence brightened countless gatherings over the years. His love and care were felt by every member of this large, interconnected family.

Throughout his life, Steve Fletcher touched lives in immeasurable ways. He lived with a genuine compassion for others and a willingness to lend an ear or offer a helping hand.

He did not have much in life but what he did have he shared.

Though we mourn the loss of Steve, we also celebrate his life and the countless memories he has left behind. His legacy will continue to inspire us all. As we say our final goodbyes, let us remember Steve Fletcher as a loving son, supportive brother, devoted father and grandfather, caring uncle, loyal friend, and an individual who brightened our lives with his presence.

May his soul rest in eternal peace.
