Robert Edward Thomas, age 48 of Bedford Heights, Oh
Robert Edward Thomas, age 55, of Bedford Heights, Ohio, passed away on June 28, 2025. He was born on February 3, 1970, to the late Agnes and Gwynn Thomas.
Rob was a lifelong resident of Bedford Heights and a proud 1988 graduate of Bedford High School. He pursued further education at Cleveland State University and Cuyahoga Community College, where he began cultivating his passion for the field of Information Technology.
Rob possessed a deep and intuitive understanding of computers and technology. Despite facing a life-threatening illness in his early twenties, which left lasting effects, Rob remained resilient and committed to his passions. He established his own business, offering technical support to home computer users, and generously volunteered his services to his local church and to organizations such as Train-O-Rama, a model train museum once located in Marblehead, Ohio. Rob also shared his knowledge through computer training seminars at local libraries.
A devoted son, Rob provided home care for his aging parents for several years. Most recently, he was employed at Iron Mountain in Stow, Ohio, where he continued to apply his IT expertise in a professional capacity.
Outside of work, Rob had a lifelong enthusiasm for model trains and a deep love of music. Some of his favorite artists included Phil Collins, Pink Floyd, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, and Debbie Gibson. He also enjoyed attending the Great Lakes Medieval Faire, where he found joy in its festive and imaginative atmosphere.
Rob lived with anxiety for much of his life, and it is the hope of his family that he has now found the peace, love, and comfort that so often eluded him in this world. He will be remembered for his quiet strength, generous heart, and unwavering passion for the things he loved. Though he will be deeply missed, his spirit will live on in our hearts forever.
Rob is survived by his dear sister, Janet Zubricky (Doug) and his beloved nephew, Andy Zubricky.
