Richard David Thompson, age 53, passed away on September 14, 2024. He was born on October 7, 1970, in Cleveland, Ohio, to his loving father, David Thompson (deceased), and stepmother, Nancy Thompson. Beloved husband of Peggy Thompson. Devoted father of Kimberly, Caitlin, and Emily Thompson. Cherished grandfather of Sawyer and Charlotte. Dear brother of Patricia and Ronald Thompson (deceased).

Richard's kindness, humor, and wisdom left an indelible mark on those who knew him. His contributions to Cub Scouts and Montessori High School touched countless lives, where his quick, sarcastic wit and infectious sense of fun made him beloved by many. He had a gift for making people laugh, and no pun was too bad for him to enjoy.

An avid role-playing game enthusiast, Richard always had a set of dice at hand, ready to roll up a new character at any moment. His love of helping others was a constant, and he was never too busy to lend a hand—or a pen, as he was known for never letting one slip away without keeping it.

Above all, Richard was a kind, generous soul who never hesitated to get silly, especially with kids. Whether he was down on the floor playing or cracking a joke, he brought joy to those around him. His presence will be deeply missed by all who were lucky enough to know him.
