Richard J. Sterben

Richard J. Sterben, age 91, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2026. He was born on June 5, 1935, in Buffalo, New York, to his loving parents, the late Stanley and Frances Sterben.

Richard was the beloved husband of the late Pauline Jane Sterben; devoted father of Kathleen Meyer, Christopher Sterben, Kurt Sterben (Georgette), Colleen DiMatteo (Larry), and the late Paula Sterben; cherished grandfather of Colin Meyer, Kelsey Meyer (Adam), Sydney Sterben, and Ian DiMatteo; dear brother of the late Arline Frances Dobmeier; and treasured uncle.

Richard was a United States Navy Veteran.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at 11 a.m., at St. Augustine Church 2486 W. 14th St. Cleveland, OH 44113. Inurnment Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
