Richard DeAnthony Jones Jr., age 43, departed this world on the morning of Tuesday, December 12, 2023. Born on February 25, 1980, in Lakewood, New Jersey, to Richard DeAnthony Sr. and Ada (Plummer) Jones. He was the eldest of five siblings: Kimberly, Pamela, William, and Jessica.
Richard's formative years were shaped in the Cleveland Public School system, where he gained a reputation as the class clown and the life of the party. Fond childhood memories included engaging in games like drop a card, hide & seek, homie don't play that, and red light/ green light. He successfully earned his High School diploma, reflecting his commitment to education.
A hardworking individual, Richard pursued various employments, establishing enduring friendships along the way. At the age of 12, he was baptized during the fall and received the Holy Ghost. Richard was not only a source of inspiration to his younger siblings but also their protector, imparting valuable life lessons.
An ambitious man, Richard set and achieved numerous goals throughout his life. A vibrant personality, he brought joy to his family and proudly served as a role model. He leaves behind four cherished children, beginning with his first two children, DeAnthony and DeLonte Jones, with the late Sonja Henderson at the age of 21. Later in life, he was gifted with his first and only daughter, Love Jones, and his youngest, King Jones.
In the embrace of the Lord, Richard's spirit transcends, and though our hearts may be heavy, let us remember the sweet memories and cherish the love we shared. As he ascends to become our guardian angel, Richard would undoubtedly encourage us not to be saddened, for he is our angel now, watching over us with love and grace.
