With heavy hearts, we mourn the loss of Rene' LaFontaine Jr., who peacefully passed away on June 12, 2023, at the age of 68. Born to Rene' Sr. and Aurea LaFontaine on July 2, 1954, in the city of Youngstown, Ohio, Rene' leaves behind cherished memories and an enduring legacy.
Rene' was a devoted and adoring husband to his beloved wife, Therese LaFontaine. Their union was a testament to love, commitment, and unwavering support. Rene' and Therese's bond served as an inspiration to many, and their profound love will forever be treasured.
As a brother, Rene' shared a profound connection with Gilbert (Grisselle), Samuel (Magaly), and Ruben LaFontaine. Their brotherhood was characterized by unwavering camaraderie and unconditional love. They stood by each other through thick and thin, providing unwavering strength and solace.
Rene' was a beloved uncle to Krystal and Joshua, children of his brother Ruben, as well as Amanda, daughter of his brother Gilbert, and her two sons, Isiah and Elijah. Rene' was also an adoring uncle of many others, as well as a loving nephew to many. He cherished these relationships and embraced the role of mentor and confidant.
Additionally, Rene' embraced the role of godfather to Isiah Toliver Sulters and Kayla Hebebrand, showering them with affection, guidance, and wisdom. He took great pride in being a positive influence in their lives, offering unwavering support and love.
Professionally, Rene' dedicated many years of his life to Arrow Aluminum Manufacturers, where his work ethic, integrity, and commitment to excellence were truly commendable. He earned the respect and admiration of his colleagues and made a lasting impact on the company.
Rene' was a devout member of the House of Praise International Church in Lorain, Ohio, finding solace and spiritual nourishment within the congregation. His faith was an integral part of his life, evident in his kind words, warm smiles, and willingness to lend a helping hand.
Rene' had a deep passion for music, particularly playing the trumpet. His melodious notes brought joy and harmony to those who had the pleasure of listening. Whether performing solo or as part of a group, he shared his talent with grace and enthusiasm.
Gardening and nurturing flowers were among Rene's favorite pastimes. He found solace in cultivating nature's beauty, creating breathtaking floral arrangements that brought serenity and joy to those who beheld them. His green thumb and keen eye for aesthetics were truly remarkable.

Family and friends are welcome on Saturday, June 17, 2023, from 4 to 8 p.m., with service being held at 6:00 p.m., at Slone & Co. Life Celebration Center 3556 W. 130th St. Cleveland, OH 44111.
