Pheakdey Chheng

Pheakdey Chheng, age 74, passed away peacefully on February 3, 2026, surrounded by her family and loved ones.

She was born on January 28, 1952, in Takeo, Cambodia, to parents who instilled in her a deep love of family. 1 of 8 children, Pheakdey often spoke about her childhood and the close bond with her family, often mentioning how they rarely fought and were always there for one another. Although she built a beautiful life in the United States, her heart always held a special place for her family back home, whom she missed dearly.

Pheakdey was married to her beloved husband, Sivannarith, for 46 years. Together, they raised two children, Reaksmey and Carolin, and built a life grounded in love, devotion, and family.

She is survived by her husband Sivannarith; her step-son Sopheak (wife Chanty), son Reaksmey (wife Caresse); her daughter Carolin (wife Kristen); her three grandchildren—Zavion, Zaiden, and Zion—who were the absolute lights of her life; her brother Mam Sokha; and many other cherished family members and close friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Mam Chheng and Eieng Seng and 5 siblings.

Pheakdey will be remembered as the most gentle soul. She was kind, caring, nurturing, and endlessly understanding. She had a natural gift for taking care of others, whether through cooking her delicious egg rolls, caring for patients at her job, or lovingly supporting her family. You always knew you could depend on her.

Above all else, she treasured being a grandmother. She graciously helped care for her grandchildren, and the moment they left, she already missed them, calling to check on them and hear their voices. She also found great joy in caring for her plants, nurturing them with the same patience and tenderness she gave to everyone in her life. Her beautiful smile, her calm and comforting presence, her gentle spirit, and her unwavering love for others will be forever remembered and deeply missed.

Her greatest joy was her family, and her greatest legacy lives on through them.

Family and friends are welcome on Saturday, February 14, 2026, from 11 a.m. until time of Service at 12 p.m., at Slone & Co. Funeral Directors 13115 Lorain Ave. Cleveland, OH 44111. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery 14609 Brookpark Rd., Brook Park, OH 44142, with the burial ceremony beginning at 2:00 p.m.
