Patricia Ann Novak

Patricia A. Novak (formerly Dornes), 82, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2026.

Born to the late Steve and Edna Dornes, Patricia was the heart and soul of her family. A devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend, she carried herself with strength, warmth, and unmistakable spirit.

She is survived by her loving family, including her husband, Joseph; her son, Joseph S. Novak; her sister, Edna Jean Ferrier (formerly Dornes); and her cherished nieces and nephews, all of whom were blessed by her steady presence and generous love.

As the matriarch of her family, Patricia was known for bringing everyone together. Her famous butter cigars, kolach, and traditional Hungarian dishes like chicken paprikash and “zuft” (lecsó) will always be remembered in her honor.

Patricia’s sassy humor, sharp wit, and love of life kept conversations lively and laughter constant.

Beneath that playful spirit was a deeply caring heart. She showed up for her family in ways both big and small, offering comfort, guidance, and unwavering support. Her presence was steady, her love was generous, and her impact was lasting.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Yet the traditions she passed down, the stories she shared, and the love she gave so freely will continue to live on in the hearts of her family forever.
