Nina L. Lloyd

Nina L. Lloyd, a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on May 23, 2025, in Cleveland, Ohio, at the age of 72. Born on October 31, 1952, in Charleston, West Virginia, Nina embraced every moment of her life with a vibrant spirit and an unwavering dedication to her family and friends.

Nina was the cherished daughter of the late Ira and Alice Legg, whose guidance and love shaped her into the remarkable woman she became. Her legacy lives on through her two devoted sons, Johny (Maria) and Kenneth (Rebecca) Lloyd, who carry their mother's warmth and kindness within their hearts. As a grandmother, Nina was blessed with five precious grandchildren: Alyssa Mash, Kat Payne, Emma, Alex and Lily Lloyd, and her beloved great-granddaughter, Lorelei Wright. Each child was a source of immense joy for Nina, who often reflected on how fulfilling her role as a grandmother was, treasuring every moment spent together. She also cherished the memory of her beloved great-grandchildren, Araceli Cruz, who preceded her in death. 

Nina's bond with her siblings was equally profound. She is survived by her brothers, David and Daniel Legg, who shared a lifetime of memories and camaraderie with her. She also mourns the loss of her dear brother, Stephen Legg, who has predeceased her, leaving a space in her heart that will forever be cherished. Her love extended to her nieces and nephews: Stephen Cochran "Stevie Two," Jenifer Rogers, Timothy Legg, Rachel Legg, and David A. Legg, Jr., who benefited from her nurturing spirit and unwavering support.

Throughout her life, Nina formed countless friendships that brought her immense joy and cherished moments. She will be fondly remembered by those who had the privilege to know her, including her beloved friends, who became like family.

Family and friends are welcome on Monday, May 26, 2025, from 5 to 7 p.m., at Slone & Co. Funeral Directors, 13115 Lorain Ave., Cleveland, OH 44111. Graveside Services will be held on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at 11 a.m at Riverside Cemetery, 3607 Pearl Road, Cleveland, Ohio 44109. Please meet inside the front gate by 10:45 a.m.
