Michael Dennis Valan, III, age 68 of Pottsboro, Texas passed away on 1/11/18; Michael was a teacher for disadvantaged youth and served in the United States Marine Corps. Michael was the beloved husband of Mary Kay (Bakaitis); loving father of Michael (Kathy), Michele Gillotti (Ben), and Melissa Wood (Mike); devoted grandfather of Jennifer, Michael, Kaitlyn, and Tyler; great-grandfather of 2, and uncle of many; dear son of the late Michael and Barbara; dear grandson of the late Michael and Eva. Family and Friends are welcome on Thursday, February 1, 2018 from 6-8pm at the SLONE & CO. FUNERAL DIRECTORS, 13115 Lorain Ave. Graveside services Friday, 11am at Sunset Memorial Park. PLEASE MEET INSIDE GATE AT 10:45AM.
