Cleveland, Ohio

Michael Anthony Biastro was born in Youngstown, Ohio on November 27, 1979. He grew in Hubbard Township, Ohio. He was the youngest of two children of Anthony F. and Anita (nee Smith) Biastro.

Michael (who preferred Mike) was a 1998 graduate of Hubbard High School, in Hubbard Township, Ohio. He then attended and graduated from ETI Technical College in Niles, Ohio. He excelled in Information Technology and Electronic Engineering. After graduation, Mike moved to the Cleveland area to pursue his career.

Mike enjoyed cooking, and was especially proud of his Italian Spaghetti sauce.

Having been raised around pets his whole life, Mike proudly adopted two shelter cats, Loki and Frjya.

Mike was an avid reader and enjoyed movies.

Mike passed away suddenly in Cleveland, Ohio on October 9, 2023. He was only 43 years old.

He is preceded in death by his father, Anthony Frank Biastro "Tony" from Hubbard Township, Ohio; both sets of grandparents, Michael and Madeline (nee Bisso) Biastro of Youngstown, Ohio and Frank and Evelyn (nee Ford) Smith of Doddridge County, West Virginia; his uncles, Lyle Smith of Vienna, Ohio, Joseph Daniel Smith, of Liberty Township, Ohio and Arsel Lovingood, of Young Harris, Georgia; and his aunts, Joann Seman and Mary Michele Williams, both of Youngstown, Ohio.

He is survived by his mother, Anita (nee Smith) Biastro formerly of Hubbard Township and currently of Cincinnati, Ohio; his sister and brother-in-law, Carla and Benjamin Beaty of Cincinnati, Ohio; and nephews, Maxwell Anthony and Jacob Alexander of Cincinnati, Ohio.

Mike will be greatly missed by the rest of his family, including aunts, uncles, cousins and friends whose lives he touched. His passing at such a young age and so suddenly has left all of us grieving.

Memorial Services to be held at a later date in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Arrangements entrusted to Walter Martens and Sons Funeral Home.
