Melvenia Boone, age 82, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2026. She was born on May 26, 1944, in Hickory, Mississippi, to her loving parents, the late Tommie G. Boulton and Lottie D. Mitchell.
Melvenia was the beloved wife of the late Daniel Boone. She was a devoted and loving mother to Rosemary (Danny) Algee, Yvette Boone, Lottie (John) Forte (Deceased), Frederick (Pam) Boone, and Patrick Boone. She was the cherished grandmother of Danny (Buk) Algee Jr., Dana Algee, Natasha Mays, Teonna Mays, Melvenia Boone, Keisha Cook, De'Shaun Boone (Deceased), Fred Boone, Patrick Boone Jr., Joevonte Broadnax, Courtney Boone, Sidney Boone, Shawn Boone, Shavonte Boone, Kimbreale Boone, and Frederick Boone Jr. Melvenia was also the proud and cherished great-grandmother of 34.
She was a dear sister to Amanda Boulton (Deceased), Willie D. Smith (Deceased), Ophelia Scott (Deceased), Tommy George Boulton (Deceased), Angie Jean, Maybelle (Deceased), Rosemary (Deceased), Charlie (Deceased), Paul (Deceased), Letha, and Mike. She also leaves behind a host of treasured nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.
Melvenia found great joy in sewing, cooking delicious meals for her family, tending to her garden, and shopping. She had a heart full of love, a strong and determined spirit, and an adventurous soul that enjoyed traveling and creating lasting memories with those she loved most. Her kindness, resilience, and unwavering devotion to her family touched the lives of everyone who knew her.
Melvenia's legacy of love, strength, and compassion will live on through her family and all who were blessed to know her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
