Maximo Eduardo Martinez, Sr.

Maximo Eduardo Martinez, age 81, passed away on February 14, 2026. He was born on November 18, 1944, in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, to his loving parents, the late Eduardo Peguero and Altagracia Martinez.

Maximo was the beloved husband of Rosa Tavarez De Martinez; devoted father of Maria Martinez, Cynthia Martinez, Maximo Martinez, Jr., Rosaligia Martinez, and Rosalba Tavarez; and cherished grandfather of Aliyah Martinez, D'Angelo Martinez, Alonzo Martinez, Orlando Martinez, Julio Martinez, Angelina Martinez, Arianna Martinez, Antonio Martinez, Alejandro Jose Martinez, Angelo Martinez, Armando Martinez, Anthony Martinez, Aniya Martinez, Coby Martinez, Adelina Martinez, Eduardo Tavarez, Dionelys Tavarez, Liz-angie Tavarez, and Randy Tavarez. He was a dear brother of Luz Peguero, Adriana Martinez, Tomasa Martinez, Hortensia Martinez, Olga Polanco, Jose Martinez, Luis Martinez, and Critian De Jesus De La Rosa, and a treasured uncle to a host of nieces and nephews.

Maximo was truly the heart of his family—always making others laugh with his humor, warmth, and friendly spirit. He enjoyed music, dominoes, dancing, playing instruments, and he loved being surrounded by the people he cared for most. Kind-hearted and selfless, Maximo will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
