Martha Mildred Tomcho Tanner

Martha Mildred Tanner passed away on June 24, 2023, at the age of 89. She leaves behind cherished memories and a legacy of love and kindness. Martha was born on May 12, 1934, in Caldwell, Ohio, to her parents John and Mary Vojtko, who precedes her in death.

Martha was a devoted wife to her late husband, Kenneth L. Tanner, who preceded her in death. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and shared adventures. Martha's dedication to her family was unwavering, and she was a nurturing and caring mother to her son, Mark K. Tanner.

Her role as a grandmother brought immense joy to Martha's life. She adored her grandchildren, Luke K. Tanner (Deceased) and Marissa E. Tanner, and took great pride in watching them grow and thrive.

Martha was a loving sister and a treasured member of her extended family. She shared a special bond with her sister, Evelyn, and was deeply grateful for the relationships she had with her late siblings: John, Mary, Sue, Ann, George, Andy, Joe, Emil, and Julia. Martha's presence brought warmth and unity to family gatherings, and she will be dearly missed by her nieces and nephews: Dan and Matthew Jurkovich, Ken and Duane Wilson, Debbie Sadar, Ronald and Rodney Tomcho, Phyllis Timmons, Joan Howell, Larry Tomcho, Delores Williams, Pam Oliver, Linda Osentosky, Gary Tomcho, Elaine Urban, Charles Tomcho, Gene Tomcho, Dennis Tomcho, David Tomcho, Diane Lupo, Bob Hudec, Marlene Schmiermund, Mary Ann Hasek, Michael Durica, John Tomcho, Mary Ann Durica, and George Tomcho.

Martha found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life. She cherished her time spent with family, relishing in their company and creating lasting memories. Martha had a green thumb and found solace in her garden, where she nurtured beautiful blooms and basked in the tranquility of nature. She had a love for travel and enjoyed exploring new places, immersing herself in different cultures, and collecting experiences. Martha's sharp mind found delight in puzzles, which she enjoyed solving in her leisure time.

Family and friends are welcome on Sunday, July 2, 2023, for a Memorial Service at 3 PM, followed by a luncheon, at Slone & Co. Funeral Directors 13115 Lorain Ave. Cleveland, OH 44111.
