Marshall Berry, Jr.

Marshall Berry Jr. was born in Cleveland, Ohio on April 30, 1960 to Marshall “Mark” Berry Sr and Lillie Walker (Harris). At the age of 5, his father relocated him along with his brother Charles “Angelo” Berry to Oakland, California. Marshall Received his education in the Oakland Unified School District. He remained in California until the age of 17, then moved back to Cleveland.

Marshall, was very skilled with his hands and sharp with his mind. He LOVED music, bike riding, helping people and most of all he loved his family and friends. Marshall had a smile that could melt anyone's heart and was very charming.

In 1980 Marshall met Ora whom he married in 1983 they maintained their union until the early 2000s after all of their children had become adults . They had five children, Herlesha “Pretty” Russell, Marshall Russell, Marlesha Berry, Diana Berry and Denlesha “DeeDee” Berry, 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren whom he loved dearly and was very proud of.

Marshall lived life his way and on his terms doing the things that made him happy. He spent most of his time with his girlfriend and dogs. He enjoyed hanging out with his friends (at 2100 and Cosgro). But on November 17, 2019 his precious life was abruptly taken by gun violence.

Marshall is preceded in death by his father Marshall “Mark” Berry Sr., stepfather Clyde Walker, brothers Charles “Angelo” Berry and Rickey “Rick” Harris Sr., and his sister Balenda “Diane” Berry.

Marshall leaves to Cherish his memories: His girlfriend, Ex-wife; Ora Wynn, His children; Herlesha Russell, Marshall Russell, Marlesha Berry, Diana Berry and Denlesha Berry, His mother(s) Lillie Walker and Peggy Berry, siblings Martha Walker, Michael Walker, and Jimmy Walker, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

Family and friends are welcome on Saturday, November 30, 2019 from 10:00am-12:00pm at Slone & Co. Funeral Directors 13115 Lorain Ave., Cleveland, Ohio 44111 where services will be held at 12:00pm.
