Maritza Dones

Maritza Dones, age 62, passed away on March 5, 2026. She was born on October 5, 1963, in Bronx, New York, to her loving parents, the late Francisco Jurado and Josefina Dones.

She was the beloved mother of Angel M. Cintron, Cindy Lee Ortiz, and Ernesto Dones Torres. Maritza was a cherished grandmother of Aliyah Mercedes Cintron, Brianna Cintron, Danial Garcia, Angel Garcia, Anailis Torres, and Yareliz Torres, and a proud great-grandmother of Aurora Angel Marte. She was the dear sister of Yolanda, Francisco, Marta, Aida, and Luis Dones, and a treasured aunt to a host of nieces and nephews.

Maritza loved dogs and enjoyed doing her hair. She will be remembered for the love she had for her family and the joy she brought to those around her. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
