Maria Estela Santana, a cherished matriarch and vibrant spirit, was born on November 2, 1936, in the lovely city of Santiago, located in the Republic of the Dominican. She gracefully departed this world on August 7, 2025, in Brooklyn, Ohio, leaving behind a legacy of love, resilience, and unwavering devotion to her family.

A guiding light to her loved ones, Maria's life was marked by the profound connections she fostered. She held the esteemed role of mother to Adriaro Antonio Cabrera, Santa Mieses, Socorro Cabrera, and Angelimaria Dlalanzav. Her nurturing spirit extended further as a grandmother to her beloved grandchildren: Melissa Mieses, Alfredo Mieses, Yorosta Cabrera, Mayra Cabrera, Surelis Cabrera, Brian Cabrera, Anyi Herdsome, Gloria Herdsome, Aneudis Herdsome, Yanilki Herdsome, Leidi Herdsome, and Yomileisi Herdsome. Each grandchild was graced with her wisdom and affection, blessed by her gentle guidance throughout their lives.

Maria also cherished her bond with her surviving sibling, Romon Eugenio, as well as her role as an aunt to Joselito, Martin, Carmen, Alexander, Gisela, Jose Albert, Rosi, Eduard, and Joseluis. Her family tree flourished under her nurturing care, representing the enduring strength of her love and the profound connections that defined her existence.

Maria Estela Santana was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Manuel Santana and America Sanchez. Furthermore, she is lovingly remembered alongside her siblings Mercedes Mortinez, Eligio Santana, German Santana, Virginia Santana, and Eliso Santana, each having forged their own path but forever intertwined in the tapestry of Maria's life.

Maria's departure leaves a void that can never be filled, yet her spirit will remain an indelible part of her family's legacy. She will be remembered for her boundless compassion, infectious laughter, and unwavering strength. Her memory will live on through the stories shared and the love that continues to bind those who were fortunate to call her family.

Family and friends welcomed Sunday, August 10, 2025 from 2-5 PM at Slone & Co. Life Celebration Center, 3556 West 130th Street, Cleveland, Ohio 44111 where Funeral Services will be held on Monday, August 11, 2025 at 10 AM. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
