Margaret C. Brooks

Margaret C. Brooks, age 97, passed away on September 29, 2025. She was born on December 15, 1927, in Zanesville, Ohio, to her loving parents, the late Wes and Ellen Schrack.

Beloved mother of George Fred Brooks, Jr. (Deceased), and David Edward Brooks (Donna). She was preceded in death by the father of her children, the late George Frederick Brooks. Cherished grandmother of Wendy Miller (J.P.), Missy Davis (Cory), and Alyxa Jamison (Josh). Loving great-grandmother of Alissa Daley (Christian), Austin James (Laura), and Preslee Davis, and great-great-grandmother of Elliott, Gavin, Oliver, Isaac, and Owen. Dear sister of the late Dorothy, James, and Kate. Though not by blood, Margaret was a grandmother in every way to Brittany, and a great-grandmother to Brittany’s daughters, Peyton and Aideyn, who brought her much joy.

Margaret had a special love for her cats over the years, most recently her companion Buddy. She also adored giraffes. Above all, she treasured the time spent with her family, who brought her the greatest joy.
