Luz Aida Clemente

Luz Aida Clemente, age 59, passed away on June 5, 2025. She was born on November 24, 1965, in the Bronx, New York, to her loving parents, the late Carmelo and Candida Cruz.

Luz was a devoted mother to Sandra Reyes, Henry Linder, Ramon Cruz, Yazmine Cruz, and Feliz Cruz. She was a proud and cherished grandmother to Ja'Lamar Reyes, Jayon Knight, Jasaiha Knight, Javontay Knight, Jeffrey Knight, Jr., J'Prince Hunter, Jamer Clemente, Jadakiss Lawrence, Jayonna Taylor, and Jewrey Knight, and a joyful great-grandmother to seven.

She was a dear sister to Luis Meranda, Angela Rosado (Ramon), Felix Rentas, Larry Cruz, Sandra Cruz, Fransis Cruz, Betty Cruz, Nellie Cruz-Krawezynski, Lorain Slaughter-Cruz, Carmelo Cruz, Jr., and Peggy Cruz. She shared a unique and unbreakable bond with her sister and best friend, Raquel Silva, and her sister of the heart, Janet Rivera-Ortiz. She was a treasured aunt to many, including David Meranda, Carmen Calderon, Jose Cruz, Juan Cruz, Margret Rivera, Rashanika Woods, Nalett Cruz, Robert Cruz, Maralyn Cruz, Lausha Cruz, and Ajenee Cooley, and leaves behind a host of extended family and friends who will miss her deeply.

Luz Aida was known for her warm spirit, vibrant energy, and unconditional love for her family. She loved cooking for those she loved, dancing to her favorite music, and simply being surrounded by the people who meant the most to her. Her laughter, strength, and presence will be forever missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

Family and friends are welcome on Friday, June 13, 2025, from 4 p.m. until time of Memorial Service at 5:30 p.m., at Slone & Co. Life Celebration Center 3556 W. 130th St. Cleveland, OH 44111.
