Lou Ann Haldeman, age 72, passed away peacefully at home on August 18, 2026, alongside her beloved daughter, Molly. She was born on November 24, 1953, in Cleveland, Ohio, to her loving parents, the late Patsy R. (nee Wright) and Warren E. Haldeman.
Lou Ann was the beloved mother of Molly Anne Baron; dear sister of the late Donna Haldeman; treasured aunt of Danielle Price; and great aunt of Jasmine Price.
Lou Ann also leaves behind her large and loving Strawberry family, her cherished chosen family, including her grandchildren of heart: Aroura Gordon, Corynn Gordon, Gavin O’Meara, Kate O’Meara, Allie O’Meara, Zayd Munteanu-Inal, and Zeyna Munteanu-Inal, as well as her beloved goddaughter, Sarah Munteanu. She also leaves behind her beloved friends Julia Pinard, Sharon Stemm-Geis, Renee Niedermyer, Tonya O’Meara, and Judi Patrizi.
Lou Ann was a woman of strong faith in Jesus Christ and found great comfort and strength in her faith throughout her life. She was proud of her American Orthodox faith and cherished the spiritual foundation it provided for her and her family.
A lifelong learner with an exceptional mind, Lou Ann attended Cleveland State University, where she earned a place on both the Dean’s List and President’s List and was a member of the Golden Key National Honors Society after maintaining a GPA of over 4.0 throughout college. She worked in corporate bankruptcy and spent more than 15 years teaching as an instructor for the IRS. Lou Ann was also a true computer expert, embracing technology throughout the years from DOS and Lotus 1-2-3 to Windows.
Lou Ann had an incredible curiosity and a creative spirit. She enjoyed dancing, carousel horses, sewing, art, crafts of all kinds, music, inventing and creating, designing clothes, spreadsheets, mathematics, and continually expanding her mind by learning new things. She had a special talent for creating and bringing ideas to life, but perhaps what she did best was love intensely and wholeheartedly. She especially cherished spoiling her daughter and sharing her many passions with those around her.
Lou Ann will be remembered for her brilliant mind, boundless creativity, generous heart, and the deep love she shared with both her family and her chosen family. Her presence touched countless lives, and she will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date for her family and closest friends.
