Strongsville, Ohio

On July 31, 2023, the world lost a remarkable woman, Loretta M. Stiles, who touched the lives of many with her kindness, wisdom, and vibrant spirit. Loretta, aged 69, was born on March 20, 1954, in Elyria, Ohio, to her loving parents, Laura Webb-Stiles Jones and Norman Stiles. She was also blessed with the care and guidance of her stepfather, Thaddeus Jones, who played a significant role in shaping her life.

Loretta was a devoted mother to her two children, Brittany Jackson (Louis) and Justin Jackson, and she cherished her role as a grandmother to Kiyana (Mark), Orion, Kaidynce, Aliyah, Kayla, Jordan, and Marcellus. She was also the proud great-grandmother of Hendrix. Her family was her greatest joy, and she cherished every moment spent with her loved ones.

Loretta's life was one marked by faith, service, and knowledge. She had a passion for travel and undertook numerous mission trips, extending her hand to those in need and spreading love and compassion wherever she went. She also found joy in studying Jewish culture and beliefs, fostering an understanding and appreciation for different traditions.

As an avid walker, Loretta embraced the simple pleasures of life, finding solace and joy in the beauty of nature. She was an enthusiastic supporter of the Cleveland Cavaliers basketball team, demonstrating her love for sports and her hometown.

Loretta had a gift for teaching, and she shared her knowledge with others about the testaments, instilling valuable lessons and insights in those around her. She was an active member of the sorority Alpha Kappa Alpha, where she made enduring friendships and contributed to important causes. Her dedication and service earned her the cherished title of "Alpha Angel," symbolizing her commitment to making a positive impact on her community.

Her memory will forever be cherished by her siblings, Norman J. Stiles, Bruce Jones, Dennis Jones (Brenda), Rene Stiles, Sandra Jones-Wright, and Brian Jones (Laurie). Loretta was a beloved aunt to Naomi Stiles, Maegan Jones-Hurtado, Shayla Wright, Alexandria Harris, and James T. Jones (Francheta), leaving behind a legacy of love and care to the younger generations. Loretta also had a beloved family friend, Thaddeus T., who was an integral part of her life.

Loretta M. Stiles' passing leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew her, but her legacy of compassion, faith, and service will continue to inspire and uplift those whose lives she touched.
