Lois Marie Hile Staten

Lois Marie Staten, a cherished mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother, passed away on June 25, 2023, at the age of 93. She was born on February 21, 1930, in Hammondsville, Ohio, to her late parents Benjamin and Daisy Hile.

Lois was a woman of immense strength, grace, and unwavering faith. She was a devoted Christian and a cherished member of Scranton Road Bible Church. Her deep connection with her faith guided her throughout her life, providing her with comfort, solace, and a strong moral compass.

Lois was preceded in death by her loving husband, Delmer Staten, and her children John Staten (Darla) and James Staten. Despite the profound loss she endured, she remained resilient and steadfast, drawing strength from her unshakable faith. She leaves behind her daughters Donna Degley (Larry Degley - Dec.) and Jacqueline McClary (James McClary), who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.

Lois's warm and caring nature extended beyond her immediate family. She was a beloved sister to Benjamin Hile, Florence Walker, and David Hile, all of whom have preceded her in death. She was a source of joy and inspiration to her nieces, nephews, and extended family, who held her in high esteem and affection.

In the hearts of her loved ones, Lois will forever hold a cherished place. Her gentle spirit, kind smile, and wise counsel will be deeply missed. Her memory will be kept alive by her adoring grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren, who were fortunate to have experienced her love and wisdom.

Family and friends are welcome on Saturday, July 1, 2023, from 2 p.m. until time of Service at 3:30 p.m., at Scranton Road Bible Church 3095 Scranton Rd. Cleveland, OH 44113. On Monday, July 3, 2023, visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until time of service at 12:15 p.m., at Everhart-Bove Funeral Home 685 Canton Rd. Wintersville, OH 43953, with burial to follow at East Springfield Cemetery (Jefferson County, Ohio).
