Linda Lee Scott, a loving cherished soul born on August 11, 1932, in Mobile, Alabama, departed this world on August 29, 2023, at the age of 91, in Cleveland, Ohio. Linda's journey began as the beloved daughter of Cyann Ellis and Lucy Elmore. Raised with tender care by her devoted late grand-parents, Bob James and Massie Bell-Hook, Linda's roots were nurtured with love, whom now, both her parents and grand-parents await her in eternity.
Linda's legacy of love lives on through her family. Her only son, Lonnie Anthony Snell (Deceased), carried forward the love, lessons, and values, she instilled in him. Linda found joy in her role as a mother, later becoming a loving motherly presence in her daughter-in-law, Verell Lumbus-Young life. Also, her role as a grand-mother was a testament to her warmth and affection, as she cherished the memories shared with her grand-children: Danardo D. Lumbus (Deceased), Alisha S. McCoy, and Quadra Brown (Tunika Brown).
In the tapestry of her life, Linda left a legacy of great-grand-grandchildren: Kiante, Dwaine, David (Deceased), Demetrius (Deceased), Danardo Jr., and D'Neal, and Sierra, as well as a host of great-great grandchildren.
Linda's influence extended beyond immediate family. She was a cherished sister to Adelle Jefferies and a caring aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Throughout her vibrant life, Linda found solace and happiness in the simple pleasures. She loved to travel and enjoyed listening to jazz music in the privacy of her home with family and friends.
Although Linda was baptized at an early age, as the years went by, she became closer to God than ever. She discovered a profound peace in her faith and spiritual connection with God. In addition, she welcomed prayer all the time. Linda became a changed woman with her new found faith.
She will always be remembered with her out-going personality and loved by many family and friends who really got to know her.
