Linda Ann Gobler

Jun 1, 1958 — Jun 25, 2026

Cleveland

Linda Gobler, 68, of Napa, CA found her way to Heaven on 6.25.2026. A devoted mother and committed member of the community, she is survived by her many beloved friends, family members and every soul that had the pleasure of knowing her radiant smile and endlessly loving spirit.

Born 6.1.1958 as eldest daughter, she was known from birth for defying odds with her strong will and love of learning. Born and raised in the Napa Valley, she exhibited the spirit of a fighter; from carving a place for women in sports—where previously there was none—to striving towards life as one of society’s stalwart protectors. Her determined spirit and sense of justice helped her forge lifelong bonds with her best friends in high school, all of whom shared her love of heroism. Their idea of a fun night out was listening to their police scanner and finding how they could aid their fellow man whether through medical aid, fire services or criminal justice. Together, they graduated proudly from Napa High School among their peers in 1976.

While her dreams of being a blue blood never left; she found another calling in 1982: that of being a mother. With the birth of her children, she committed every bit of herself to raising educated, creative and loving members of society. Her patience, understanding, unwavering sacrifice and unconditional love showed in everything she did and now lives on through them.

During this time, she continued striving toward her dreams of being a police officer and working with youths while raising her first born and working in Napa Valley Schools. In 1987, she achieved her dream by graduating Napa Valley College with honors. From then on, she wore her badge with pride as she worked with local youth for the Napa Department of Public Hospitals and the Napa County Juvenile Hall.

In 1991, she retired from her profession as a juvenile correctional officer to step into what was always her most cherished role: being a full time mother. While dedicating her life to her family, she enjoyed gardening, crafts, cooking, homemaking and served as a valued member of Napa Valley School's PTA, where she influenced students and teachers alike as room mom for multiple classrooms every year.

In her later life, she settled in Cleveland, OH so she could be closer to her daughters. She loved film and music that most reminded her of her youth, of motherhood and of her love for God.

She passed away peacefully at Cleveland Fairview Hospital under the gentle care of the living angels serving there.

In lieu of contributions to the family, her survivors wish any donations in her memory be made to the care and comfort of others in need at Fairview and other Cleveland Metro Hospitals, as her compassionate and generous soul would have wanted to pass it on. ❤
