Lexie Vea Butler

Lexie Vea Butler, age 58, passed away on October 4, 2025. She was born on January 10, 1967, in Hammond, Indiana, to her loving parents, Lexie (née Strickland) Rose and the late Thomas Rose.

Beloved mother of Thomas Smiley, Lexie (née Blankenship) Watts (Eric), Samuel Butler, and the late Jessica Butler. Dear sister of Sally (Anton) Jura, Shirley (Fred) Wood, Dreama Ruben (Robin Sullivan), and Mary Jane Milam (Ernie Thompson). Treasured aunt of Anton Jura, Samantha Jura, Amira Miles, Brandon Scarcipino, and Adam Qasam.

Lexie had a warm and joyful spirit. She enjoyed crafts, singing, cooking, and spending time with her family. She loved listening to music, sharing laughter, and telling jokes that brought smiles to everyone around her. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
