Letha Posey

Letha Posey, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, passed away suddenly and heartbreakingly on October 23, 2025, in Cleveland, Ohio. She was born on April 8, 1954, in Oneida, Tennessee.

Letha was known for her caring nature, often willing to give the shirt off her back for anyone in need. Her warmth and kindness touched the lives of those around her, and she will be remembered for her generous spirit.

A woman of many talents, Letha loved to cook and had a profound appreciation for music, making her an integral part of family gatherings and celebrations. Her culinary skills brought joy to countless faces, filling homes with beautiful aromas and happy memories.

She is survived by her daughter, Aliceson Jordan; her grandchildren, Jacob and Kayle Ward, Corey and Alyssa Ward, Kelsey Bragg, Josh Hoyt, Mikey Miller, and Liyu Ward; and her great-grandchildren, Faith, Dean, Bentley, Kaden, Aria, Kolton, and Cayson. Letha also leaves behind her sister, Wanda Burk; and her nephews, Heath Collins, TJ Collins, Westly Collins, and B.K. Hollyfield.

Letha was predeceased by her parents, Rubel and Alice Posey; her son, Jerry Ward; her grandson, Carl Nesselrode III; her sisters, Betty Marcum and Georgia Hollyfield; and her nephew, Glen Hollyfield.

Her legacy of love and compassion will endure through her family and the many lives she touched.
