Lena May Brown

Lena May Brown, age 68, entered the Kingdom of Heaven on May 29, 2026, following a sudden illness.

She was preceded in death by her father, Charles E. Brown; her mother, Iva Brown (nee Georgantis); and her ex-husband, David M. Dodig.

Lena was the beloved sister of Eddie, Liz, Dorothy (Buddy), Nelson (Caroline), Margaret (Ernie), Valorie (Chuckie), David (Eileen), Bobbie, Marty, and James (Diane). Loving mother of Stevie Dodig, Lena (Rally) Peterka, Theresa Dodig, and Paula (Raul) Lozada. Cherished grandmother of Alex, Shawna, Herbert, Zachary, Tyler, Holly, Manny, Ericka, Raul, and Isaiah. Proud great-grandmother of Memphis, Julian, Marlee, Elena, Rowan, Scarlett, Ivoree, Valencia, Annie, Elijah, and Meadow. Beloved aunt and great-aunt to many, and a great friend to many.

Lena loved her family deeply and cherished every moment spent with them. She had a strong love for Jesus and found great comfort in her faith throughout her life. She also had a special love for country music, especially the songs of Loretta Lynn and Patsy Cline, whose music brought her joy and comfort.

Family and friends are welcome on Friday, June 5, 2026, from 5 to 8 p.m., at Slone & Co. Funeral Directors 13115 Lorain Ave. Cleveland, OH 44111. A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at 11 a.m., at West Park Cemetery 3942 Ridge Rd, Cleveland, OH 44144 (please meet at cemetery gates by 10:45 a.m.).

The family asks that casual clothing in yellow or purple be worn in her honor.
