LaKeita Williams-Sagoes, was born on March 18, 1977 in Chattanooga, TN to Pamela Salmon-White and Johnny Frank Williams (precedes her in death). She was the oldest of three children. When she was a young girl, LaKeita gained a loving step-father, Sylvester White, who raised her as his own daughter.

LaKeita attended college and earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Bryant Stratton College in 2011.
LaKeita married Ivan Sagoes in 2000 and they had three sons, Ivan, Izaiah, and Itaez Sagoes. She also gained a step-daughter, Deshanee Sagoes, who she cared for and loved as her own. She was passionate about caring for her family and supporting her sons’ activities. LaKeita was known in the community for her coaching of the Gunning Gators cheer squad where she was able to connect with kids throughout the whole community, and also her nieces who participated in the program.
