Keith Marvel Schofield, 65, passed away peacefully on November 22, 2025, in Parma Heights, Ohio. Born on September 25, 1960, in Fort Valley, Georgia, he was the beloved son of Auther Della Schofield and John W. Schofield. Raised in Cleveland, Keith was active in the Episcopal church, serving as an acolyte, Vestry member, and participating in a mission trip to Honduras.
A 1978 graduate of John F. Kennedy High School, Keith attended Georgetown College before earning his degree from Baldwin Wallace University. He dedicated his career to serving children and families as a social worker for Cuyahoga County, retiring in 2018. An avid basketball player and coach, he proudly led James Ford Rhodes High School to a Senate Championship in 2004 and was named Coach of the Year.
Keith is survived by his daughters Randi (Demonta), Megan (Mike), and Maria; partner Jackie Davila; grandchildren Amira, Alicia, and Miles; parents Auther Della and John W.; sister Marsha (Bryan); nieces and nephew; and many loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Martha Simmons and Samuel L. Smith.
A Memorial Celebration will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2025 from 5 to 7 p.m., at Slone & Co. Funeral Directors 13115 Lorain Ave. Cleveland, Ohio 44111. Flowers and memorial contributions are equally welcome. Memorial contributions can be made in honor of Keith M. Schofield to any of the following organizations: Hospice of the Western Reserve, The National Kidney Foundation, or the American Heart Association.
