Kathleen D. Stewart

Kathleen "Kay" D. Stewart, age 72, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2026. She was born on June 2, 1953, in Elma, Michigan, to her loving parents, the late Willard Witham and Patricia Fitzgerald.

Kay was the beloved wife of Alan Stewart and a devoted mother to Cindy (Patrick), Meagan, Denise, Erin, and Michael. She was a cherished grandmother of 16 and a proud great-grandmother of one. She was a dear sister to Ronald (Gloria) Witham and an adopted sister to William and Pattie.

A woman of deep faith, Kay was a born-again Christian and a faithful member of Faith Free Will Baptist Church. She found great joy in reading her Bible and serving others. Kay dedicated over 30 years as a Sunday School teacher and lived her faith daily through kindness, compassion, and loving care for her home and husband. Kay also worked as a Licensed Vocational Nurse for 30 years and served with the Salvation Army, where she was among the first responders following the September 11th attacks in New York. She was a lover of all animals, an excellent cook, and a quiet servant to all who knew her.

Kay will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.

A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, January 9, 2026, at 1 p.m., at West Park Cemetery 3942 Ridge Rd, Cleveland, OH 44144 (please meet at cemetery gates by 12:45 p.m.).
