Karen Louise Rieker, age 83

Beloved wife of the late Albert Rieker. Loving mother of Matt Kaiser (Kim), Stephen Rieker (Dani), Rick Kaiser (Laura) and Colleen McAdams (Jimi). Cherished grandmother of Josh, Cory (Katie), Andrew (Jamie), Hannah, Noah, Jason, Alyssa, Braiden, Alyson and James IV. Great-grandmother of Kali, Colton and Ezra. Dearest sister of David Swanson (dec.) (Sandy). Daughter of the late Axel and Lenore Swanson.  Aunt and Great-aunt of many. 

Karen lived a life filled with warmth, faith, and dedication to those she loved. Her life was marked by her deep commitment to her family and her faith. She treasured the moments spent traveling alongside her husband, Albert, sharing in the adventures and the quiet joys of their travels. Her heart belonged to her church community, where she was a familiar and beloved presence, reflecting her steadfast devotion. Karen also found happiness in simple pleasures—shopping, lunches with friends, and enjoyed the theater. 

Karen’s life was a testament to her love of family, community, and faith. She passed away surrounded by her loving family, a comfort that speaks to the depth of the bonds she created over the years. Karen lived a life filled with warmth, faith, and dedication to those she loved.

Family will receive friends Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Redeemer Lutheran Church, located at 6151 Smith Road in Brook Park, Ohio 44142. Following this, a celebration of life service will begin at 11:00 a.m. 

In lieu of flowers the family suggests that donations may be made in memory of Karen to Redeemer Lutheran Church.
