Joseph Charles Valaitis

Joseph Charles Valaitis, Jr., or Joe to all, passed away on April 30, 2023, after a brief illness at the age of 71. He valiantly fought the affects of a stroke over the last several months. 

Joe is predeceased by his beloved wife, Sharon, and is survived by his beloved children, Gerald and Debbie; sister, Carol Beardmore (Jeff) and brother, Mark (Maryellen). 

He graduated in 1970 from John Marshall High School and had worked as a Material Handler in the trucking industry before retiring. Joe was the former President of the Holy Name Society, and was an active member of the Knights of Columbus West Park Council 2790 where he served as Grand Knight, as well as a 4th Degree member and served as Faithful Navigator for the Bishop O'Reilly Assembly 816. 

The family wishes to thank his caregivers with Cleveland Clinic Hospice and Crestmont North.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on WEDNESDAY, MAY 10TH AT 11:30 AM AT OUR LADY OF ANGELS CHURCH, 3644 ROCKY RIVER DRIVE, CLEVELAND, OHIO 44135. Private inurnment at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to a memorial fund in Joe's honor.
