Jose L. Baez

Jose L. Baez, passed away on May 31, 2023, at the age of 67. Born on July 13, 1955, in Salinas, Puerto Rico, he was the son of Manuel Baez and Maria Baez.

Jose was a loving and dedicated husband to his wife, Miriam Baez. Together, they shared a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Their bond was an inspiration to all who knew them, and their commitment to one another was unwavering.

As a father, Jose was a pillar of strength and guidance to his children: Annette Soucie, Maricenia Baez, Vanita Green, Jose M. Baez, and Janine Capote. He nurtured them with love, imparting valuable life lessons and supporting them in their pursuits. He took great pride in their accomplishments and was always there to celebrate their successes.

Jose was a doting grandfather to 20 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He cherished the time spent with them, relishing in their laughter and being a source of love and encouragement. His legacy lives on through the lives of his grandchildren and great grandchildren, who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.

In addition to his roles as a husband, father, and grandfather, Jose was a devoted brother. He was survived by his siblings: Jose Enrique Correa, Jose Alberto Correa, Felix Correa (Deceased), Letty Perez (Deceased), Glamari Perez, and Lilliam Perez. Their bond was unbreakable, and they provided each other with lifelong support.

Throughout his life, Jose found joy in various hobbies and interests. He had a keen eye for capturing moments through photography, creating beautiful images that would be cherished by generations to come. He had an immense appreciation for music and could often be found immersed in melodies that stirred his soul. Gardening was a therapeutic escape for him, where he cultivated a vibrant and serene environment. Furthermore, his culinary skills were unparalleled, and he delighted in preparing delicious meals for his loved ones.

Family and friends are welcome on Sunday, June 4, 2023, from 2 to 4 p.m., at Slone & Co. Life Celebration Center 3556 W. 130th St. Cleveland, OH 44111. Graveside services will be held Monday, June 5, 2023, at 9:30 a.m., at Holy Cross Cemetery 14609 Brookpark Rd. Brook Park, OH 44142. (Please meet at gates by 9:15 a.m.)
