John Franklin Greg, Sr.

John Franklin Greg, Sr., age 79, passed away on September 4, 2026. He was born on January 13, 1947, in Cleveland, Ohio, to his loving parents, the late John Dow and Betty Marie Black.

John was the beloved husband of Dorothy (nee Hulvey) Greg and the devoted father of John Greg, Jr. (AnnaMarie Blankenship) and Mary Greg (Johnny Sanchez). He was a cherished grandfather to Damon Greg, David Greg, and Stephanie Prehoda, and a treasured uncle to a host of nieces and nephews.

John was preceded in death by his siblings, William Dow, Harry Dow, William Braatz, Patricia Dow, and James Dow. He will be lovingly remembered by his family and all who knew and loved him.

A proud Vietnam War Veteran of the United States Army, John honorably served his country with dedication and pride.

Family and friends are welcome on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, from 5 to 7 p.m., at Slone & Co. Funeral Directors 13115 Lorain Ave. Cleveland, OH 44111, where a Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at 11 a.m. Interment Lutheran Cemetery.
