John F. Gerchak, age 88, passed away on July 5, 2024. Born on November 9, 1935, in Cleveland, Ohio, to his loving parents, the late John F. Sr. and Dorothy (nee Haag) Gerchak. John was the beloved husband of Rose M. (nee Hartman) Gerchak. He was a devoted father to James J. Gerchak (Debra), Robert W. Gerchak, and Karen R. Custodio (David). He was a cherished grandfather to Karen Kubinski (Joe), Katherine Gerchak, Kristine Gerchak, Karriann Gerchak, Cara Custodio, Quinlan Custodio, and step-grandchildren Rick and Jennifer Yatson. John was also a treasured great-grandfather to Kaitlyn and Juliana Kubinski.
John proudly served his country for 20 years in the U.S. Army and was a Vietnam Veteran. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
