Jessica Gonzalez Nieves

May 21, 1981 — April 26, 2026

Cleveland, Ohio

Jessica Gonzalez Nieves, age 44, passed away peacefully on April 26, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on May 21, 1981, in Bayamón, Puerto Rico, to her loving mother, Esmeralda Nieves Sanchez, and her late father, Marcos Ruben Gonzalez.

Jessica was the beloved wife of Ricardo Luis Exclusa Maldonado, who remained by her side with unwavering devotion, ensuring she was cared for and loved until her final moments. She was a devoted and cherished mother to Yarilex Marie Sandoval Gonzalez and Yarelis Marie Sandoval Gonzalez, and she carried in her heart the memory of two miscarried children. Her love extended to her cherished furbaby, Maickey Sandoval Gonzalez. Her eldest daughter also blessed her with two granddogs, Piper Sandoval and Benny Gonzalez, who brought her joy.

She was a dear sister to Marcus (Timmy), Carlos, Eric, Marcus, Katiria, Jesus, Jeanette, and Lissette Gonzalez, and a treasured aunt to Keishla Marie Gonzalez, Daniela Eileen Molina, Yadiel Vargas Gonzalez, Marcus Laureano, Dainelys Sanchez, Emma Cecilio, Janeisy Gonzalez, and Jeanelly Gonzalez.

Jessica was a true fighter. When her youngest daughter battled cancer in 2009, Jessica fought fiercely beside her. Later, she faced her own cancer diagnosis with courage and strength, fighting with everything she had until the very end. She passed peacefully at Metro Glick Center on the 8th floor ICU, having been surrounded by love throughout her journey.

Known affectionately as Je, Jessi, Titi Je, Beba, and Mamita, Jessica was beloved by all who knew her. She was a woman full of joy, kindness, and warmth—someone who could light up a room with her laughter and spirit.

Jessica treasured time with her family above all else. She loved riding bikes with her daughters when they were younger, attending church, sharing hobbies with her husband, and enjoying activities like boxing, going to the shooting range, and basketball. She found happiness in laughter, joking, and making memories. She also had a special love for sunflowers and capturing life’s moments through photographs.

Jessica will be remembered as a loving daughter, devoted mother, faithful wife, caring sister, proud aunt, loyal friend, and an unyielding fighter. Her legacy of love, strength, and joy will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.

She was deeply loved from the beginning of her life to her final moments—and she will be deeply missed always.
