Jeanette Gibson

Jeanette Gibson, 75, of Cleveland passed away on December 9, 2023. She was born on December 14, 1947 in Knott County, Kentucky to the late Carlis and Leona (nee Sexton) Perry. Jeanette loved her family, and enjoyed spending any extra time she could with them. She will be fondly remembered for her love of games, especially Spades. Her light will be missed by all those who knew her.

She is survived by her loving children Kristal (Matthew) Dowdell, Carmella Gibson and companion Paul, Olivia (Gregory Godwin) Gibson, Carmel “Bub” Gibson, and Aaron Christou; cherished grandchildren Mary, Ashley, Debra, Justin, Allie, John, Jacob, D.J., Nate, Lindsey, and Brianna; 8 treasured great grandchildren; dear siblings Geneva (David) Schirato, Clarence (Pam) Perry, Nadine (Tom) Malinoski, Samuel (Sherry) Perry; sister in law Brenda Perry; and many nieces and nephews.

Jeanette is preceded in death by her beloved husband Carmel Gibson, Sr., infant daughter Belinda Gibson and brothers Robert, Billy, and Roger Perry.   

Family and friends are welcome on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, from 11 a.m to 1 p.m., at Slone & Co. Funeral Directors 13115 Lorain Ave. Cleveland, OH 44111. Interment Riverside Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Jeanette’s memory to the family.
