Janet Peoples

Janet Peoples, age 67, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2026. She was born on February 16, 1959, in Detroit, Michigan, to her loving parents, the late Alta Woods and William Peoples.

Janet was a devoted and loving mother to Taiwan Kendra and Jamaica Peoples. She was a cherished grandmother to Shawn Kendra, Jr., Alexa Kendra, and Austin Lawrence, and a proud great-grandmother to Braylon Kendra and Novaleigh Ross. Janet was the devoted companion of Melton Woods, Jr. She was the dear sister of Mary Wells (deceased), Pam Peoples (deceased), Roshelle Peoples (deceased), Kent Peoples, and Wilbert Peoples. She was also a treasured aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Janet found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved watching Law & Order and Criminal Minds, enjoyed going to Bingo, and, most of all, treasured every moment spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchild. She will be remembered for her love of family and the warmth she brought to those around her.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Family and friends are welcome on Saturday, March 7, 2026, from 11 a.m. until time of Homegoing Service at 11:30 a.m., at Slone & Co. Life Celebration Center 3556 W. 130th St. Cleveland, OH 44111, where a repass will be held immediately following the services.
