Janet G. Hodges

Janet G. Hodges, age 84, passed away on July 24, 2023. She was born on October 26, 1938, in Cleveland, Ohio, to parents John Benson and Helen Miller, both of whom are deceased. Janet was a proud native of Cleveland and had a deep attachment to her hometown.

 She was a loving wife to her late husband, Raymond Hodges, and a devoted mother to her children, Gary Walker (Deceased), Lary Walker, and Janelle Hodges. Janet found immense joy in being a grandmother to Doyle Ennis and Michael Arnold, and she cherished the time spent with them.

Janet is survived by her brother, Paul Benson, and she is predeceased by her siblings, John Benson, Mary Alice Young, Martha Benson, and Ruth Varndell.

Known for her generous and kind-hearted nature, Janet touched the lives of many around her. She had a passion for the simple pleasures in life, including camping and road trips that allowed her to explore new places. Janet had a special affection for animals and delighted in their company, and she had a green thumb when it came to tending to her beloved flowers. Lighthouses held a special fascination for her, and she enjoyed the calming presence of these structures.

Among her favorite pastimes were listening to music, particularly the works of Conway Twitty, and savoring a cup of hot coffee. She also relished dining out and cherished the moments spent with her grandsons.

Janet G. Hodges will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her loving spirit and the beautiful memories she created with her family and friends. Her legacy of generosity and fondness for life will remain in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in peace.
