Janet Akers

Janet Akers, age 65, passed away on February 27, 2021. Janet was a caring mother to Ruby Smith (Michael) and James (Mary) Akers, a loving grandmother to 5 beautiful grandchildren, and a kind sister to Jesse (Kathleen) Bearfield. She was a faithful companion to Frederick Haines. Janet is preceded in death by her beloved husband, James, her parents, Billy and Mary Ann (Pettry) Bearfield, as well as her sister and brother-in-law, Joann and Gary Hodge. Janet was a devoted aunt, great aunt, cousin, and friend. Friends and family are welcome Saturday, March 6, 2021, at Slone & Co.
