James C. Murphy

James "Jimmy" C. Murphy, age 67, passed away on February 6, 2026. He was born on May 31, 1958, in Berea, Ohio, to his loving parents, the late Howard Murphy and Clara Szollosi.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents; daughters Lisa (Keith - deceased) and Mary (Beckie); granddaughter Charlie; brothers Howard (Jackie) and Steve (Pearl); and sister Nancy (Tony - deceased). 

He is survived by his children James "Eddie" (Tina), Charlene (James), Joey "Bub", and Christal (Cody); mother of his children, Sheila (Chucky); grandchildren Jeffery, Kevin, Jamie, Scott, and Austin; great-grandchildren Dominic, Shyanne, Jacob, Jaxson, Dylan, Ricky, and Jeffery; and siblings Patricia (Bob - deceased) and Kathy (Doyle - deceased). Jimmy also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews, including Cathleen, Steve, Jr., Jason, Johnny, Tracy, and Gregory.

Jimmy could always be found sitting on a bar stool at one of his many favorite local bars having a cigarette and a cold one with friends. Jimmy cherished his family and always enjoyed spending time with them. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, and working on cars, as he spent most of his life as a mechanic. He was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Jimmy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
