Jack V. Cheiky

Jack V. Cheiky, age 66, passed away on October 3, 2026. He was born on December 20, 1959, in Lakewood, Ohio, to his loving parents, John V. and Emmajane (nee Hurd) Cheiky. Beloved husband of Anela (nee Forrest) Cheiky. Loving stepfather of Dylan T. Forrest (Katharine Umphred-Wilson) and Hanneliese Kansen. Dear brother of Jeffrey S. Cheiky, Joel M. Cheiky, and Jay E. Cheiky. Treasured uncle of Sarah C. Cheiky, Jade Cheiky, Jeffrey Cheiky, and Paul Cheiky.

Jack was a creative and adventurous soul with a passion for art, photography, and painting. He expressed his imagination through writing zines and short stories and was the creator of Geo Chess. He enjoyed the freedom of riding his motorcycle and had a love for traveling and experiencing new places. Jack also owned and operated his own care and driver business. 

He spoke of his family often and held a special place in his heart for the many lifelong friendships he formed at CULC, the high school he proudly attended. The bonds he shared with his high school friends remained an important part of his life, reflecting the lasting connections and cherished memories he carried with him. Jack will be remembered for his artistic spirit, independent nature, love of adventure, and the meaningful relationships he built throughout his life.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2026, from 1 to 5 p.m., at the West Shore Unitarian Universalist Church - Baker Hall 20401 Hilliard Rd. Rocky River, OH 44116.
