Harry Lee "Tray" Gist, III

Harry Lee “Tray” Gist, III, age 54, departed this life unexpectedly on December 9, 2024. Born on December 1, 1970, in Cleveland, Ohio, he was the beloved son of Virginia “Gin” and the late Harry Lee “June” Gist, Jr. (deceased)

He was the father of Monique N. Knight and Tre’ Gin Gist. He also leaves behind one brother, Isaac A. “Ike” Gist, and a grandson, Levi C. Cruz.

He is also survived by his niece, Issis Gist, nephew, Isaac “Ikey” Gist, Jr.; five aunts: Elaine F. Ayers, Martha Green (Eli), Cynthia M. “Tiny” Slade, Dale F. Jones (Robert Reese), and Mary P. “Trish” Jones; and five uncles: Thomas “Tommy” Shabazz, the late Guy “Butch” Jones (deceased), Bryan R. “Ray” Gist, and Clarence “Junie” Jones; along with a host of cousins, relatives, and friends. Additionally, he leaves behind his former spouse of 14 years, Erica Mitchell; his trusted and loyal friend, Dee Dee Banks; and his current companion, Lateesah Waller.

Tray was a devoted Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Cavaliers fan. He will be deeply missed by his family, countless friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
